When will Rockstar take us back to San Andreas?

Grand Theft Auto 5 will release on 23rd November 2012 for Xbox 360, PC and PS3. According to Zavvi.com, anyway. The UK-based online retailer was the first to put out a preorder date for Rockstar's new game last night after the first GTA 5 trailer went live.... read more

Rockstar already have Max Payne 3 releasing early 2012 - so id think that GTA5 wont be released till early 2013.

April 4th 2013

Thats my prediction

Summer 2012 sounds good to me, hope these overpaid analysts are right. Max Payne will have a good 4-5 months release if GTA5 is released in july. Seems like perfect timing.
...and if you tell that to the kids of today, they wont believe you!

Haven't R* (with the possible exception og GTA4) traditionally bucked the Xmas trend and released in the late spring and early summer? As you said RDR came out in late May, and I'm sure I remember San Andreas being released when there was plenty of light to keep playing into the late evening.

Can't really see them trying to dump on Max Payne, but maybe they consider GTA and Max to be different enough to both get a slice of the pie.
Confirmation Bias is a bad thing, I've read a book that agreed with me about that

The end of the day they're totally different games, it's not an open world game, so hopefully they'll allow Max to get a few good months sales then stick out the big guns in june/july.

I think San Andreas came out in October for PS2, and I remember it being June for Xbox, which every other R* console game has done since (Q1).

I am putting my money on a late summer early autumn launch. Probably August/September. Beat the November rush like gears 3 did.

From my experience Rockstar have always released trailers of near finished code, or at least very close, so i don't think the release will be that far off at all.

I'm hoping for a April/May release and this may be possible, as stated above their financial year ends March so what better time to release a game than when everyone has money back in their pockets.

Either this or August/September.

Apparently there is an Easter egg that may show the actual release date.

Pause the video when the guy is hammering the for sale sign, look at the kerb stone at the front of his house it shows 2405

Im pretty sure this is 24th May

Painting door numbers on kerbstones is commonplace in the US. Also, 24 May 2012 is a Thursday and games come out in the US on Tuesdays, so it doesn't fit. GTA4 was released on Tuesday, 29 April 2008 according to Wikipedia. The 24 April 2012 is a Tuesday...
