Publisher accused of "encouraging internet bullying" over now-removed Facebook app

This month's Regrettable Marketing Stunt Award goes to Square Enix, by unanimous vote. The publisher has launched, and now deactivated a promotional Hitman app on Facebook which invited users to identify and "assassinate" their friends. Identify how? By way of physical features like "tiny tits", "muffin tops", "bad hair" and a "tiny penis", obviously.... read more

Offended? Narp. Pissing myself laughing at the reasons that your friend(s) should be snuffed for? Yarp!

I hate meetings at work and try to avoid them, but I would have paid a lot of money to have been in the meeting where this was discussed and it was decided this was a good idea. I'm almost speechless. It's so bad, unfunny and crap, it's amazing. "Here's a film of you getting shot in the head for having small tits" "That's so funny I can't breathe - let's make it!"

Like these guys, I actually had a chuckle at this. Partly because I know exactly who I'd be sending it to and can imagine their reaction and partly because of how ridiculous it is that they ever thought it a good idea to release this.

It doesn't offend me in the slightest, but then most things don't.

Kind of an ironic article coming from a magazine that was yesterday inviting people to take out a subscription rather than give their money to starving African children, dontcha think?!

I did think it was a bit rich for Ed to be pointing the finger after that incident, but to be fair, this idea was probably okayed by quite a few people before hitting Facebook, unlike Ed's unfortunate piece.

I'd rather you beat yourself with a stale baguette.

I think this is in poor taste, I have tiny tits and now I feel bad

SNOW??? It's clear blue sky and sunshining here. If it wasn't hovering around 3 degrees I'd think it was summer. Then again it still could be a British summer. 8)

Never got this far South I'm afraid, although I know most of Hampshire got some. All we got was rain :(

Have you gone back to survey your baccarat winnings Ed?

Ah I was staying in surrey where it was snowing, was clear pretty much as soon as I got on the M3 south. Hampshire is rather unsnowy at the minute, now that I'm not 10 years old it's a good thing.
