Ubisoft's colonial adventure comes over all Dances With Wolves

The first episode of this bizarre DLC campaign sees Connor waking up in an alternate timeline where he never became an assassin, his mother never died, and George Washington went power-mad after the American Revolution and crowned himself king, with a little help from an Apple of Eden.... read more

Nah, he's a CVG "hub" man. Sells his arse to the highest bidder. Jonty's still pondering the staff writer question.

(Hi Andy, hope you're well.)

His hair isn't nearly as loud, therefore his skillz aren't as mad.

Hmmm, still quite disappointed with Assassins Creed 3, just never drew me in like Brotherhood did, that game I played it to death. Loved it, but this... Just doesn't keep me coming back. I completed it, but that's about it. I might give it another chance this week and see if I can get into it, if not, I will be giving this DLC a miss.

I'm just glad Connor isn't in the next game. I miss Ezio.

I can assure you that the new OXM Staff Writer, once appointed, will be ceremonially paraded before you all upon arrival. Feel free to prepare probing questions about their Dark Souls completion percentage.

Andy, Ben Griffin and Alex Dale are internal staffers who contribute to us and other Future mags/sites, so you'll be seeing their bylines a bit more around these parts.

I recognise Alex Dale and Ben Griffin from articles they wrote for XBW and Alex especially I remember as quite liking his writing.

And I look forward to the new sacrifice, I mean writer, being presented for our judgement

amuses me how they need to create an alternative history and magic wolf powers before they're willing to make an American the bad guy

I can't remember exactly what happened but from memory he wasn't exactly painted as a good guy in the main game. Wasn't he stealing lands from the natives?

This DLC is the only thing making me consider getting Assassin's Creed 3. I was underwhelmed by the other entries in the series but the picture for this add-on caught my eye. Good story sounds like a plus, but insta fail definitely does not. I think I'll wait a bit for the price to drop a bit on this one before getting it.

Do you mean games in general or Assassin's Creed in particular?
