How can you tell if bagpipes need tuning? They always sound bloody awful

Do mermaids give birth to live young or lay eggs like a fish?

If a tree falls in the woods and there's no one there to hear it, why not? Where are all the animals?

Random enough for you Rodent?

There is a species of shark that lays its eggs in a separate pouch inside itself, and when they hatch they leave the shark giving the appearance of a live birth. Now that doesn't answer the mermaid question as that entirely depends on which half is fish and which half is human-lady.

Why is Marmelade not called Orange Jam?

How long does it take a damaged toenail to actually fall off and grow back?

That's a weirdly specific random question Ed. From personal experience it can take up to 6 months for a completely missing toenail to grow back. It actually varies from toe to toe though as they grow at different rates.

I would say it depends on which toe the said nail came off.

I've had my right big toe nail removed; me and my brother were fighting when we were younger, he tried to slam the door in my face and I stupidly stuck my bare foot in it to stop him - it wasn't a pretty picture.

After having it removed at the hospital it took months to grow back, but was constantly being set back as it kept ingrowing. Each time I had to go back and have the sides cut off (literally like almost the entire sides, I don't know why they wouldn't just trim it) and hope it grew properly the next time. Wasn't plesant as my nail bed stayed very sensitive, just putting on a sock or walking with a shoe was uncomfortable.

Can we have topics that aren't making me wince in imaginary pain.

How about the % loss in reproductability when you have a testicle ripped out of its sack and are therefore left, like Hitler, with only one ball?

Before you ask, both my lads are still swinging happily beneath me.

Poor you :(

I had a toe nail removed surgically a few years back as a result of it ingrowing and from starting with nothing but a bare nail bed it took six months to fully grow back to the point where I needed to trim it. Trust me it seems like an even longer time when you are looking at a bare nail bed.

Glad we could help.

My husband had to have his removed and it took months. Though it was his fault he had an ingrowing toenail and he left it. Several months later he told me his foot was a bit sore and funny looking. I told him to show me and leaving the details to your imagination lets just say I felt a bit ill :?

This is becoming something akin to a war veteran's thread. Private Toenail? Yeah I served under him. Bastard once booked me for keeping rum in my locker.

Welcome to the forum, Insaneyokel :) Mine seems to be growing in the right direction.

i had one fall out when i was young (pro tip - dont drop tables on your toes) - wasn't pleasant.
Can't say I remember how long it took but it was blinking painful at the time (being a young'un back then it probably grew back quickly)
