What does Battlefront have in common with Legacy of Kain?

If the ignoble death of Gore Verbinski's Kinect project Matter today brings tears to your eyes, consider that it's just the tip of a vast and unknowable iceberg. For every game that actually sees release, a multitude of projects are chopped before they've even been formally titled, let alone glimpsed in motion. To address the elephant in the room, Dead Space 4 is rumoured to be one of the more recent casualties.... read more

Work on the new Legacy of Kain started in 2044 huh? Does this use the same morphic disruption technology/magic as a Pork Futures Warehouse?

The development team was headed by Moebius the Timestreamer, apparently.

Witchcraft!

Ed should use it and make Battlefront 3 happen.

I saw that typo, then I saw another typo and forgot about the first typo. The gods are mocking me.

Ah, Moebius...I'll never forget the look on his face when he was impaled on Raziel's blade. Worth waiting three games for.

Battlefront 2 is still one of my favourite games ever, the amount of hours I poured into skirmish matches. The space combat was a great addition as well, shame they didn't intergrate land and air combat more.

Hell even if not a BFT3 a HD rerelease of 1 and 2 would make me insanely happy

Free radical made Battlefront? Or they were playing with it... thought pandemic made it myself.

Damn fine game, well worth a hd release as an arcade online only thing, test the waters.
...and if you tell that to the kids of today, they wont believe you!

You do know it's on Steam right? And there are mods... Shiny, shiny mods...

Friend and his mates got it in the Steam sale a while ago and he says it's still very playable, especially with said mods, but the online is a bit broken and required some work/patching to get it up and running - but it supports up to 64 players!

My worry is time may not have been kind to it, usually a good game is a good game etc - but wonder if this may fall into 'goldeneye' territory which was horrendous on a revisit. Either way, it's Star Wars, so If you or any of the others fancy a nostalgia trip though we can pick it up in the next sale (it's not fiendishly expensive as is) and give it a blast? :) Will chuck something in the Steam thread.

Pandemic did the previous Battlefronts, yes - sorry, I don't make that clear. Will update.

I'd buy that shit full price and then some, I forgot it was - my laptop couldn't run it when it was on sale last. My little bro plays the BF2 on xbox and it looks great there, replaying it myself in splitscreen is still great fun.

Tell you a good mod; galactic warfare for CoD4, looks amazing. I don't buy CoD though, but if they allowed mods for BF3 - we wouldn't need... BF3 lol (Battlefield 3, then Battlefront 3).

I'd assume so, and there'd be no vehicles, it just looked like Star Wars: COD because that's what it is.

You buy it and then tell us how good/bad it is...! :)

Kicked my mate a message asking what the MP issue was/is. He said it was fix-able so don't think that should put you/us off anyway, there's still a community playing it too, although after the Gears fiasco they're not people i'm in a particular rush to meet :|
