More interesting than the PS4 reveal in my opinion. Have to wait for E3 to be sure on which I'll be getting first, though.

Which part was more interesting. In your opinion?

Oh and Rook, go ahead but most of the discussion is likely to take place in the "Articles" forum I would think.

Xbox One revealed

Postby Decent_Jam » 21 May 2013, 19:18

So, thoughts?

I for one am not disappointed, but that announcement clearly wasn't aimed at us.

Agreed, they really need some UK tie-ins, in fact any non-us specific tie ins. I know Netflix and the like were there as the are currently but surely there was scope to do some deals here and there. Football is pretty popular across Europe for example.

It's not for me, but still, it would be nice to think it wasn't such a US-orientated show.

I liked the fact that 'snap' appeared to be nice and instant, I really hope it can keep up that sort of performance and loading screens will be a thing of the past...

Interesting follow-up video from Jonty (and featuring MR ET) fills in a fair few blanks - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf7coQ0l ... e=youtu.be

Jonty to present at the E3 announcement anyone?

p.s. Sorry Tippiest, I fear we may have been here at the same time though, technically...

Well before this starts descending into a mass of complaints, I'm going to remain optimistic. It's really what's to be expected, lets not forget that it is an entertainment console and yes that does include games.

What they've most likely done is show of the hardware and entertainment (TV and the like), aspects off first. I'm sure come E3 they'll be focusing largely on the games themselves.

Heaven forbid they target more than on audience, yes they could have shown off more games, but it isn't such a bad thing to focus on other things first and then later kick them to the side for the games.

Plus at least they didn't just show us the controller.

I've merged a couple of topics in to this one "official" thread to keep things tidy. Oh and it's a sticky because I'm sure there's much to discuss......

hm, kinda dissapointed - I still have no problem with pressing buttons on my remote, and its not hard to turn the blurray/cd player on. As for the sports deal exclusives they can feck off.

Forza 5 on the other hand does interest me, I just hope they make it more like the first 4 and less like the NFS style Horizon. Halo tv series could be good - the split film they did was suprisingly decent.

CoD Ghosts just looked abysmal - 'new features' other games were doing in 2008, dull victimised America plot and a trailer consisting entirely of prescripted events
