One decent setpiece on repeat

Fuse is a flexible lotion. It makes weapons go wild, and if you inject it into your neck, it gives you psychic powers. As an unstable but limitless source of power, it's a potential solution to the global energy crisis, and it's absolutely going to kill us all. After playing Fuse, I have no idea what Fuse is. But my god, I know it's important.... read more

It is quite fun, but the weapon balance is quite poor. Naya and Izzy are fun to play as, Dalton and the black bloke are hopeless. particularly Dalton, hamstrung by that silly shield. I can imagine no-one wanting to play as him in co-op mode!

It is utterly derivative, and I nearly fell asleep in the first ten minutes. Once the shooting started though, it did perk up. Lots of numbers flashing around on the screen, some shiny graphics, plenty of bad guys to blow up. No doubt I'll forget it completely once I trade it in, but for now it's a pleasing distraction.

Naya has a black hole gun that can tear apart the fabric of reality.

Izzy has a weapon that turns people into living statues more effectively than Medusa's severed head.

Dalton has a shield that when he gets bored of gathering up lots of those shiny bullets can be used to atomize people

Jacob.... has a crossbow.

Good to see the government is sharing its advanced alien technology equally among it's top agents.
I had fun once, it was awful.

Jacob was my favourite to play as in the demo. I enjoyed hanging back and sniping, getting headshots and pinning enemies to walls.

I've got the demo of this, and I thought it was pretty good. However, three words stick out at me. "Too Much Repetition". What, so it's alright for the COD series to be the same game every year, yet when a different game's slightly samey in places, you HAVE to mention it? I'm sorry, but I saw it with Borderlands 2's review as well, and a couple of other games where you same it's a little bit repetitive, or words to that effect.

And yes, I enjoyed pinning enemies to walls as well, thought that was rather amusing. But I have to admit, the guns were terrible.

Seems like these days there's a special variant of Godwin's Law in gaming discussions, with CoD replacing the Nazis.

That's a shame, I quite liked what I saw in previews and features, and I was excited that Insomniac were back in business. Loved the old Spyro games and Ratchet and Clank so it was nice to see them on the 360. Sounds fun enough to grab after Remember Me.
