Call their agents - these guys deserve bigger parts

By their very nature, DLC characters can often feel surplus, bolted on rather than built intelligently into the narrative. Every once in a while, however, DLC packs surprise us by conjuring up personalities that are intriguing, complex, and who actually enhance the game despite missing out on a starring role.... read more

The ballad of gay Tony should of been the main story of GTA4. It was amazing dlc, almost a full game for a decent price. Tony was a great character

Captain Scarlett from Borderlands 2 is awesome. Would love to see more of her back story. Also loved Kasumi Goto in Mass Effect 2, although you did get to have her in your squad for the rest of the game so I do think she can be classed as underused.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was a standalone game, not DLC, so it doesn't belong in this list.

Remember the times when game developers just put extra characters in hidden in the game and not charge for it?
Not that DLC is bad but the Spider Man 1 game had the distiction of having a fully functional green goblin campaign hidden in the game that is better than the original...

Kasumi's one of my favourites. I enjoyed her DLC, made a change from the standard Mass Effect.
"The lord of silver fountains, the king of carven stone. The king beneath the mountain shall come into his own. And the bell shall ring in gladness at the mountain king's return, but all shall fail in sadness, and the lake will shine and burn."

Some classic BioWare humour in there too.

Shepard: "Careful. There goes the next Shadow Broker."
Garrus: "Could've sworn he was muttering "T'Soni" the whole time."
Liara: "Not funny."

What the hell, watch the video instead http://youtu.be/qbZJIKeDvR4
