Pointless commercialism and nothing more, yet there seem to be plenty of gullible gamers willing to pay extra for such things. I just don't see any real significance in a Halo 2 or any games '10th anniversary game', after all, the game could simply be called halo 22, it would be the same game, just a different title, yet the gullible gamers won't be as interested, so the 'special anniversary' title is used to draw those gullible players into buying.
Alternative people want to revist happy memories or in my case try a well regarded game they never got a chance to play? Just because you don't want something doesn't mean that many others don't, and not just because they are gullible.
