Log tries out the combat, and finds it to be full of zap

A short hands-on with Lightning Returns is only partially enlightening. There are bits of plot, familiar and new. Like we already knew, Lightning has 13 days to save the world. But during the combat tutorial, the countdown clock is at seven days, which implies an out-of-game demo, or a bit more darting around the ol' apocalypse timeline.... read more

So what we've got is X-2 mixed with Majora's Mask it seems.

At least it doesn't play itself anymore.

Dear Square-Enix, could you please stop doing this, make a game, give it a story that stands alone, no more sequels please.

Urgh...In battle costume changes. Hated that aspect of X-2 so not exactly thrilled to see its been revived.
I would of liked to have seen something similar to the Dragons Dogma armor system instead of what looked like a few overly girly Japanese pop inspired costumes.

I think I hate Fang more than Vanille...is that even possible?

Can't help but hate that ominous timer in the top right of the screen just below the mini map.
There are 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Hey guys, want are your thoughts now as you can see lightnings underwear when in combat, you know the Japanese...... sigh because that's what final fantasy really needs. Let me just guess that more revealing costumes are on there way.

They could actually be bloomers, sport shorts worn by japanese school girls such as the ones worn by Sakura in Street Fighter.

Besides, after X-2 that outfit is downright modest.
