Aoife reports back from a million-dollar Black Ops 2 tournament

A lone spotlight hits the stage of the Palladium Theater on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. As music blares, an announcer calls the name of a young man, barely 18, who lopes into view. He's nervous and shows it; this moment is the culmination of months and weeks of training.... read more

This is whats killed call of duty, i wish they would make a separate playlist for people who just like playing games for fun, one without K.D and with the old 3.5.7 killstreaks

MW2 had barebones mode which stripped out the killstreaks, as such it was probably the mode I played most.

Sadly the games after it ruined it by stripping out not just killstreaks but the perks and weapon upgrades as well, a choice between the two would have been nice

"I'll f*cking break you," I've coined that catchphrase, I use it nearly anytime I can't think up a witty comeback.

I believe the first video in this article was posted roughly 2 months ago and it said in the article that it's taken about 2 months to finish the tournament. Don't know if that's correct, but I assume it is.

I assume you don't have access to the actual matches. Despite not being a fan of COD I'd have liked to see them.

I'd like to edit this. Yes it happened 3 months ago. Why the article says it took 2 months when it actually took 3 days is weird. Obviously Aoife couldn't be bothered to write it up. I've just watched the final on youtube from 8th April so I know this is true.

Bit of a misunderstanding here. This article was written up at the time of the tournament, and was published in issue 99 of the magazine, but is only now being put up online. Where does it say that the tournament took 2 months? Do you mean the "and two months later only two remain"? That's in relation to the qualifying tournaments, not the Los Angeles Championship event itself.
