That burrowing drill isn't the only thing that's boring

When Nic Cage lookalike Jim Peyton steps onto the frozen, hostile surface of EDN III, he's only there to do a job. As it turns out, you'll do a lot of jobs for a number of different people. There are fetch jobs, repair jobs, defend jobs and even optional jobs on top of the main jobs, and they're all kept in your Job Log. There are little bits of interest wedged between the tasks you're given, but they don't quite prevent Lost Planet 3 from developing into a dull exercise in how to turn a game into one long job; the kind that you can't wait to escape from at the end of the day.... read more

Oh :( I wasn't exactly expecting a lot from this game. But your review has made me wish I hadn't of pre-ordered it from amazon just now. Still, I do enjoy the Lost Planet games, so hopefully I will enjoy this!

Capcom seem to be on a roll... for releasing average games.

As one of those rare breed of people that loved Lost Planet 2, I was actually not at all excited about this.

Turns out my lack of faith in this game was well placed. Or rather, my faith was well not placed. Or something...

I think it's time we all admit that this is a shitty franchise. Actually, it's worse than shitty. It's boring.

Capcom has really lost it with this generation of gaming. Their fighting games are good (Street Fighter and Marvel vs Capcom), but everything else is just a letdown. From Lost Planet to those horrible Resident Evil games to duds like Dark Void.

I see the name Capcom and I think "no thanks".

I played both Lost Planet games and never really loved either. The second was considerably worse however, think I played it for 2 hours then took it right back.
And the less said about Resident Evil 6 the better.

Capcoms stand out game of the past few years in my opinion is Dragons Dogma, it may be ugly at times with a wafer thin plot that doesn't really pick up until the last hour or so but the combat is challenging and there is a hell of a lot to do.

Here's hoping the inevitable sequel wont suffer from the bloated budget and fan ignoring that Resident Evil 6 suffered from.

Ah crap, I forgot that they make the Dead Rising games as well. I never played the 2nd one, but hated the first. The text was so tiny that it was impossible to read (meaning you had no idea what to do), the controls were horrible, saving was a nightmare, and that damn phone wouldn't stop ringing.

Was the sequel any better or just more of the same frustration?
