What a shame we don't have a choice of games. I certainly wouldn't have chosen Fifa, those games bore the socks off me. I certainly will not be downloading that yawnfest of a game which seems like a complete waste to me.

The last thing Microsoft needs to do is launch a product that is not ready. Peter Moore needs to put is own house in order with DRM before minding other peoples business.

We look at opportunities to put as many copies of FIFA into consumers' hands as we possibly can.

Probably so that he can boast about how it's the biggest selling launch title on the One. Like the time he boasted about how many Origin subscribers there were.

Can someone sack this cretin already. He's more annoying than being stuck in an elevator with Jim Carey on acid.

To be honest i' m really not a fan of Fifa, so I really couldn't care less about a "free" game i' ll never use. Like Hazehill said "it's a shame we don't have a choice of games"... Meh C’est la vie right?
But i' ll definately be holding out for "Titanfall"...that and and DR3 are the two games that i' m really stoked about.

I hate football in general and wouldn't touch any football game with a barge pole. The whole FIFA freebie is a big disappointment to me - would rather have had a years live subscription or at the very least a choice of another (preferably non sporting) EA game to download.

Won't even be able to flog the code on eBay as everyone will be getting one... still it's free so can't really complain much. :|

doesn't matter. Still won't get me to buy an Xbone. I'll just get it for PC or Xbox360 then.

Only those who have pre-ordered the "Day One" edition of the XB1 will get the free FIFA download so it's hardly everyone is it?!
I don't care if a game is "the same every year." So is pizza. Stop buying the bad pizza. Buy the good pizza.

I think that's probably the most middle class metaphor I've ever heard - why did these guys get voted worst company in America?

True, but with Titanfall being on the Xbox One the release will likely affect their sales as well.

Yeah I wrote that before they had made their new announcement about it being for the Day One editions only so I might be able to make something off it after all :)

Tesco Direct are out of Day One Editions so that's me snookered for now. If MS gave a solid release date with some bundle options (not Day One) I would might get one off Amazon.

I would rather have Forza and BF in a bundle than the Day One edition with FIFA.

Could be onto something there...
Amazon has X1 standard console release as 31/12/13, so no clues there, but...
Amazon also has X1 day1 edition, Forza 5, Ryse, DR3 and X1 controllers with 27/11/13 on them now... A whole two days before PS4? Sneaky, if true.

Edit: Looks like I was on the US Amazon site - no dates on the UK site. Hmmm... Global launch for X1 between the PS4 release in the US and EU?
