You know what would be really nice? Inbuilt recording software, so you could play around a bit, save it to skydrive and then download it to your PC to playback, fiddle with or even construct into a song

This is a great idea. I'll be very surprised if some form of recording capability doesn't make it into the next version of the software.

As it is, Rocksmith has proven to be a fantastic investment, of both my time and money. I can't tell you how pleased I am to know that all of the DLC and a majority (if not all) of the on-disc songs I've learned will transfer to Rocksmith 2014. I was hopeful about transferring the DLC content, but the on-disc songs, too?? Nice!

as a guitar learner I can honestly say rocksmith one helped me out soo much,i cant wait to get my hands on the new one with stuff like create a band and the setlist is awesome with paramour and maiden and slayer on it.

So if someone was starting from scratch would they need to start with Rocksmith 1 or could they jump straight into 2014? Only ask because the price difference on Amazon is only about a tenner and I'd like the better of the two if possible

From the sounds of the improvements to lessons I'd go with 2014, though I've not tried the first game myself.
