Purchasable currency won't "disrupt" game, house parties are griefer-free zones

Grand Theft Auto Online will become available from 7am Eastern Time or 12pm British Summer Time, Rockstar has announced in a NewsWire post. I like the sound of House Parties, that way we can still drive around and shoot our tires off, safe in the knowledge Tippy won't be at our houses filling them with C4

It does sound as if Rockstar are, and will continue to, ensure that GTA Online is a great fun experiance. I certainly look forward to it and hope they do keep it fun and as free of greifing as possible.

Seeing as though today is the day, and I was removed from it yesterday, I assume my Non Disclosure Agreement has now lapsed and can say that I was on the Friends and Family Beta for the last couple of weeks.

I won't say too much in case I still get in to trouble and also wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone, but once any inevitable glitches are ironed out and servers are full, everybody looking forward to this will not be disappointed. At least I don't think so, I had a great time on it when I had spare time away from the fantastic single player.

It takes the best elements of Red Dead multiplayer and goes far beyond them, it adds a great structure to the multiplayer world which was missing from GTA IV, and it eases you in to it quickly but relatively gently, though I will say if playing on a public server be prepared to go 'passive', at least until you know the ropes.

It's such good fun and Rockstar have masterfully made the multiplayer feel very much like an extension of the single player, in that there's still plenty to do / fun to be had even when playing solo.... of course it's much more fun with a few people in there with you.

Damn work! I don't get home till 7:30, can't wait to play with full servers, the beta population was a little low at times.... due to the odd times I'd be playing it.

Stick with it, it's worth it!

Any crashes / glitches aren't great in any game but I tell you what, it's quite refreshing for a developer to hold their hands up and say it will inevitably happen, I can't imagine Activision or the likes doing that.... and I remember Call of Duty 2 which didn't worth online properly for months without any admission or statement whatsoever from the devs, when a patch finally came the lobbies were fairly empty, everybody had moved on.

It's a good move from R*, make sure it's known that it is "ours" and that they are developing a game with us. It shows they care!

Anyone else having trouble with the social club? Simply won't load, I should imagine their servers are getting hammered today!

Remember, it's not a house party without a gunge tank. :D
