Shocking news, everybody - the Xbox One is, indeed, slightly larger than the Xbox 360. A whole 6.3 cm longer, in fact. Forget making space beneath your television - you're going to need a living room extension to accommodate that behemoth. Add in the new Kinect sensor, and you might as well just knock a wall down and mount your flatscreen on the wall across the street. Honest.... read more

I say Who cares. If it means no Red rings of death or any overheating issues sounds good to me. Heck make it the size of a couch....Just give me a perfectly working system!!

I think I can live with an extra two inches, and as Butter says who cares if it gives them more room for extra cooling and making sure it doesn't have a repeat of the RROD? If anything I'd argue that this problem indicates the 360 was too small.

I'm ready for whenever I buy it, as the space is waiting.

One question - is the measurement in male cm's or actual cm's? I've found that male cm's are slightly longer than actual cm's.

Surely they're going to have to come out with some setup/informational videos soon? I'd still like to know if they plan on introducing a work-around for those of us in the UK with built-in-Freeview to enjoy the TV switching feature (no HDMI Out on the TV means you can't use the HDMI pass-through in the same way as people with external digi-boxes). The Xbox will be in my bedroom so I won't have access to the Sky box, but I was really looking forward to snapping, switching, etc.

I'm not one to 'hate on' Microsoft, but at times it does seem like they focus a little too much on good ol' US of A.

So it's slightly bigger than a Slim, but not too much that it'll all that noticeable? Nothing wrong with that, although I'm sure someone somewhere will find something to complain about.

How much longer is it than an Elite then?
I believe I have ample space however.

Yea, I'd agree with that, and I'm writing from the good ol' US of A. If you're in North America, and are a cable customer subscribed to one of a handful of cable companies, you're set. But that's a small percentage of loyal Xbox users. I sincerely hope that these much-touted features eventually (quickly) manifest in the UK and beyond. At the moment, though, the system definitely reeks of some sort of wire-and-plastic patriotism.

I believe in an old article MS said they would try to look into deals with service providers of different regions.
