New logo! New name! New everything!

A new issue of OXM is now on sale - a completely new issue, in fact. In anticipation of the launch of Xbox One, we've given the mag its first proper redesign since 2007. The new title is simply "Official Xbox Magazine" - reflecting the fact that we're going to be covering both Xbox One and Xbox 360 - and we've added some new regular features that enable us to cover gaming in a different way. We've also, perhaps more dramatically, dropped the coverdisc.... read more

Looks good, even if the initials XOM are going to make me feel dyslexic for years to come.

Dropping the disc in favour of freebies is a welcome step. The late lamented sister mag Xbox World used to include some cracking How To manuals each month, and their "How To" Guide they released when the new dash board was launched a few years back still gets referred to by me occasionally.

And soooo glad you've given Log his own feature. Reading his angry rants/bemused ramblings each month will be the first thing I do.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

I'm getting a little too excited at the prospect of the next generation now! 8)

Thanks all! We'll almost certainly tweak it a bit over the coming months, so do let us know your thoughts.

Had my copy "delivered" this morning, only flicked through a couple of pages, but the new look is pretty nice. Not too bothered about the disc being dumped myself, the days that those type of discs are really worth it are long gone.

I am disappointed that I'm not in this months mag though, not that it's first thing I look for each month...

On a side note: For the past few months I've been getting the mag in a crappy plastic bag, that's hard to open without ripping it apart. This months was a one of those card sleeves. Do you guys keep swapping them over or is it more of a case of just luck of the draw?

Huh...will have to check that shade out in homebase.

Call me Gok Wan, but I'm not convinced the light blue matches now though.

Choice of wallet tends to vary depending on what we're putting on the cover.

Agreed that the blue doesn't go, vader - don't worry, the site's new colour scheme is only temporary.

Also it's great Ed's had us all install these new "Next Gen" chips in our head to make us all compatible with the Xbox One.

...wait, everyone else all had them installed too and it's not some elaborate scheme on Ed's part, right?
