In general, they just seem to have doubled the per Cheevo amount which kind of just cheapens it in my opinion.

agree with mackered, going to really cheapen the whole feeling of having earned them if every short downloadable game throws 1000g at you

Who knows what the retail games have? They might have 1,000,000 or something?

Aren't they infinite and forever too? With cheeveroonies being added post release based on community? I like getting achievements, don't care about GS it's just a number that means bugger all.
...and if you tell that to the kids of today, they wont believe you!

I too like achievements. I like the 'ding' when they drop. I also like GS as it is often a good indicator of how long someone has been around. I like to compare games that friends have played. Often this has led me to games that I have often missed out on, the premise being that if we like the same types of game and they've finished something I've never even tried that I might like it.

I think that the whole achievement thing is something that ms nailed. Way better than either steam or sony. Just hope that this isn't a pointer to them cheapening it.

I reckon they are beeing lazy. They could of kept the same achievement score as the 360 version and make new ones for the xboxone version.

Hmm lot of Gamerscore for what seems to be a smaller title,i guess that will get my Gamerscore higher quicker if all games are like that. The benefit of that would be more reductions on the marketplace through the reward scheme i suppose.
Never really been an achievement hunter,i just play games till i'm bored of them. The first game i re-played quite a few times that i can remember was the original Flashback, that was decades before achievements existed though an was for purely the love of the game. Pity they ballsed up the remake come to think of it,or i would have bought that, nostalgia an all.

Lol did they give you windows 8 free because you'd bought an earlier version? 8)

No but im pretty sure its exactly the same game except you dont have to wait 2 months for the Xbox controller support :D
Anyway I thought they were saying you can play your games across the 3 platforms, windows 8, Xbox One and windows phone but im sure as hell not going to buy the same game 3 times.

This game's release is good news for Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners (I think this will be many Xbox One owners first digital download! ) and a great Xbox One launch window title for Halo fans !

Yet I feel that this is one of the main reasons many people got a 'surface' tablet, so with out any great exclusives I don't feel the tablet's future is going to be very bright !
Glad I fought the temptation to get a surface tablet just to play this game !

Looking forward to playing this with a console controller.

Completely agree with you, my son and I are Halo fans, but to buy
a 'surface' tablet just to play Spartan Assault was too much to ask.
As you I'm also looking forward to play this with an xbox controller,
and my son is going to be over the moon when I tell him the news.

You would have to be a right nugget to buy a tablet just to play this one game. Or live in Gibraltar.....
